Denise Adams, Director – Denise is now serving in her 24th year as the
Director of Morton Civic Chorus having assembled well over half the group’s
thirty-seven shows to-date. She has been teaching music in Central
Illinois for over thirty years, the past 14 as Choral Music Director at
Woodruff High School in Peoria. Denise is always thrilled when her former
students come back as adults to join the Chorus and sing with her again.
Denise is delighted to finally have all three of her own kids in the show
this year. Matthew, who was one year old when Denise joined the Chorus,
heads to graduate school at the University of Idaho this fall to continue
his vocal studies. Christopher will be a senior music education and cello
major at Bradley, and Kaitlin will be a senior at Woodruff and involved in
everything. Husband Lee just returned from his first journey to Europe on
the “Taste of Italy” tour with WCBU 89.9.
